Greg Mullen
Local indie rocker Greg Mullen recently completed his 9 song release "The Hungry Ocean". Greg's songs are quirky, catchy and posses an honesty that captures you right away. Much of the tracking was done live in the studio to digital, a final mastering stage incorporated the Studer tape machine which added a nice warmth to the record. Look for "The Hungry Ocean" released on GREEN vinyl (so cool!). Max Raphael engineered the record from start to finish with Brian adding the final mastering treatment. Kim Trusty
Providence R.I. singer / songwriter Kim Trusty just put the finishing touches on her latest full length disc entitled "I Will Be Waiting". The album was co-produced by engineer/producer, Brian Charles and Trusty herself. The record was recorded over the course of the past year - both on analog tape as well as digital format. Kim has all the makings of a classic soul Diva with elements of Aretha, Gladys and the like. Her music and sound is anything but derivative though...Kim has an energy that is infectious to those around her, whether playing music or just hanging in the control room. These sessions were a joy for all of the musicians involved as well as the engineers here at Zippah. Visit Kim online at : http://kimtrusty.wordpress.com/

YEW
Dynamic musical duo- YEW have been in this month mixing their upcoming CD. Ireland native- Patricia O'Sullivan (lyrics/lead vocals), and Boston local- Jay Berry (mutli-instrumentalist/ sonic MD) join forces to take what began as a "home-spun" recording and polish it to completion with engineer/ producer Brian Charles. Yew's music has a way of getting into one's bloodstream quickly, and staying there for a while. Keep your ears open as we expect great things from these two.
